Education & Events Committee
Elaine Economou, Chair
The Education & Events Committee plans and operates the MFA Annual Convention and any other educational or training related events. This committee is responsible for setting the agenda, inviting speakers, and raising sponsorship revenue.
Legislative Committee
Alyssa Tushman, Chair
The Legislative Committee is charged with advocating on public policy issues affecting MFA and the entire fitness industry in Michigan. The committee anticipates, reviews, tracks, and responds to issues through education, communication, and relationship development with legislators, agencies, and other stakeholders.
Membership & Marketing Committee
Harrison Brode and Jayne Szukalowski, Co-Chairs
The Membership & Marketing Committee focuses on recruiting and retaining MFA members. The committee is also responsible for creating MFA member benefit programs including the MiFitNews and FitByte newsletters, MFA website and social media as well as reviewing potential affinity programs to be offered to the MFA membership.
